My radio show starts up again this week, and I'm looking for some new music. It is a rock show, though I am not adverse to playing stuff that falls outside of "rock" as long as it is interesting and good (such as stuff off the new TV On the Radio album).

We try to play stuff that is upbeat, staying away from ballads, jams, or "coffee shop" soft rock. When we play punk or metal, it is more mainstream/classic than hard core (like The Ramones or classic Black Sabbath, The Stooges or Deep Purple).

Most of these songs are pretty upbeat and catchy, I guess. Most of it's kind of old. I don't know for certain that good rock music is still made.

People like Queens of the Stoneage I havent listened to them that much but they seem swell for a show.
