I probably am, unless a review convinces me otherwise. I'm getting the PC version via Steam.

Oblivion bored me to tears so as long as it's not too much like Oblivion, I'll probably buy it.

I'm confused as to how people are calling this Oblivion with guns seeing as how it hasn't even been released yet and most publications haven't released a review.

I cheated so I could jump in the air and fall for 2 minutes, that was pretty cool. I also made myself really strong and killed all the NPCs I needed to do quests.

Play the first one first because the second is an improvement on a lot of things and if you're anything like ME (autistic) you'll get frustrated and give up right away when you try playing the first one after the second one.

I actually prefer the first one because I think the story is more interesting, that said ALDP is right in that there are a fair number of gameplay improvements in the sequel.

Both of them are fairly open ended (in particular the second one), but more linear than Oblivion. I would compare them more to Baldurs Gate in terms on openness and linearity.

The first game, however, places a time limit on the main quest (albeit a large one), but after you find the water chip you have a lot of leeway to just wander around and do whatever the hell you want.
