Perhaps not. But I hate it that it takes 20 attempts to get a good character, and then when you're finally on a roll, suddenly some super beast attacks you from out of nowhere and you die in two hits.

| I think I need to have a balanced character that can fight and use magic. I'll slaughter 300 monsters or so, make it up to level 7 or 8, and then suddenly there's some super orc or ghul that breaks my armor and halves my life, or paralyzes me, or I start bleeding, or am poisoned, and I can't get away before something kills me (even when I'm not too deep in a dungeon). |
