Yogurtman is extremely lazy, so if we construct a list of the changes you guys want, and figure out how to implement all those changes, it'll probably speed everything up so that this board is all set up for when people actually have to start posting here in a month's time.

-Custom Titles - I think the current limit is something very short. Do you guys know how many characters long you'd want it to be?

-Forum Banners - You can't currently change it as a normal admin, and it has to be done by Yogurtman. Additionally, it's only one banner for the entire forum.

-User name in topics is not a link to the profile

-AIM, Profile and whatnot links below every post are pretty unnecessary.

I'd like each post in a thread to be numbered, and if possible I'd like to be able to link to that post individually, rather than referring to "Big Black Africa's 124th post".

Each post is numbered. That little icon to the left of Posted: and the date is a link to that particular post. Unfortunately it is partly anchor based, so it doesn't show only that post when you load the page. That shouldn't be too difficult to change.


-The ability for everyone to set their own posts per page.

The ideal functionality would be to list the number of the post in the corner that currently has a useless link to the top of the page. Also, the number would be a clickable link which would launch a javascript popup containing just that post.

I looked at that custom title mod you posted earlier and that should work fine, with some pretty easy modifications that make it so only admins can change custom titles.

Allowing users to set their own posts per page is important.

Also, there's stuff that needs to be done with the colors, ie
- forum category headings on forum index should be blue with white text
- the box that I am typing in right now should be white with black text
- I guess those are the main ones

I was actually just thinking of making a thread like this earlier today.

I had a huge mental list of niggling details that needed to be ironed out but I've forgotten most of them.

AS FOR EVERYTHING ELSE.

Replacing the current new posts/no new posts icons.

And all the other icons, obviously.

An ignore feature.

Ability to edit user names.

Ability to edit avatars.

Changing the word avatar to personal picture.

It would be also interesting to see if there's a spellcheck mod.

The spellcheck mod is called "use Firefox".

The icons should definitely change. I already did New Topic, Add Reply, and Sticky, as you might have noticed. I didn't add the new posts icon because that was before I got the black background working and the ezboard icon didn't show up on a blue background. Now that that issue is fixed I will definitely change the icons.

Switch the preview and submit buttons, but I'll probably be accustomed to tab-tab-enter within a week of normal usage, so that barely matters at all. Although it would be nice if the buttons weren't black, so I could see which one was focused.

How about getting rid of all these buttons (bold, italic, underline, quote, etc.) in the post area, since anyone who is both ignorant of BBcode and HTML, and can't be bothered to learn either, clearly isn't welcome here.

The ability as a user to choose not to display emoticons.

It'd be nice if the date and time were listed in the left pane, like old times.

It'd also be cool if each post were a separate entity, so that one long custom title doesn't break the table, but that sounds fucking hard.

How about: custom titles should allow linebreaks, so we don't have to do it manually like barbarians.
