My vision seems to have gotten worse in the last couple of months! I had glasses for a while but stopped wearing them because they were a hassle (I had to take them off to read things close to me) and I never found situations where they allowed me to see something at a distance that I couldn't see without them.

They did make things a little sharper, though, which was neat.

I'm saying this so there won't be two posts in a row beginning with a superlative. The worst thing about hearing and hearing loss is that there's no practical and objective way to figure out if yours is good or bad in day to day life. You can tell when you can't see something, but when you can't hear something, who's the say it just isn't loud enough?

Wait, is "worst" a superlative? Do negative words have an equivalent to "superlative?"

You can check the range of frequencies you can hear.

And compare your ability to hear at a certain volume to other people.

I wear glasses. I hate contacts. They tire my eyes out too much when I used to wear them.

I also can't read close up with glasses on. My eyes have a hard time adjusting when reading books with them on. The doctor said that they create an astigmatism. However, I can't see distances with them off.

I think I'm legally blind. My vision is like 20/240.
