Is there any noticeable performance enhancement upgrading from an i5 to an i7? Or does it not make much a difference unless you compare different architectures?

Is that your performance rating for your computer?

Mine is 5.7, and I purchased it at the end of 2008.

Got a 7.2 on mine.

Did you have to push up that metal flap to fit the PSU Jason?

With the same PSU you have, here is what it looks inside my system. The case doesn't have those flaps to hold the PSU up, just those rubber rails. Fits flush with that upper flap.

I had to force it in. The flap must have been just slightly too low.

Turns out my optical drive won't work on this computer because it's IDE/ATA.

I finally bought a Blu-ray RW drive instead and installed Windows via USB.
