The majority of those games have not aged well. Tobal and Bushido Blade are horrible.

MY PERSONAL LIST OF SQUARE GAMES I THOUGHT WERE TOTALLY BETTER AND MORE FUN THAN FINAL FANTASY VII.

In order.

Final Fantasy VI.
Final Fantasy X.
Final Fantasy IV.
SUPER MARIO RPG.
Triple Triad.
Secret of Mana.
Seiken Densetsu 3.

The only thing dragging down Final Fantasy VII is the sluggish combat. And non-skippable summons.

Really, the only reason to hate Final Fantasy VIII (Other than the garbage characters (Except Quistis.), absurdly horrible storyline, abysmal battle system and almost completely barren world map.) is because they made those summon sequences an integral part of the game! And with button mashing no less. Awful. Actually, forget it, hate it all you like.

Triple Triad is the card game sidequest in FFVIII and is pretty much the only fun part of the game.

Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 6 are in order otherwise the rest I have enjoyed. I wish I owned the remake for 5 and 6 for GBA otherwise an emulator is still good.

Final Fantasy 8 is really absurd in its ability to not be taken seriously.

You're in an exploding Balamb Garden and the characters stop to ask Squall about his feelings!

god, i just about put 100 hours into demons souls. that game is the worst.

i also read that sqeenix will hd some ff's if there is enough fan demand. finally!

Much worse is the games serios jankyness and falling to your death hrough no fault of your own.

Also, world five is fucking one of the grossest things i have ever played.

Square games are nothing compared to metal gear or the best strategy games. They're little more than generic japanese style RPGs
