I think it may be Greater Toronto Area. Did they go for the Tories? You wouldn't see something like that in New York City. Is the CPC less racist than the Republican Party?

Toronto didn't go full on Conservative, because that would be insane, but they did give them some ridings.

Brampton and Mississauga are completely blue. Ignatieff didn't even win his riding!

Yeah, I just saw a map of all the ridings. Toronto and Vancouver should not be that Conservative, what is up with Canada? Elizabeth May won her riding though. Plus Victoria (which is where we always go in Canada and where Katherine's family is) went for the NDP.

He can either choose to call an election, or if all of the other parties reject a budget proposal or other important piece of legislation, the confidence of the government falls and an election occurs.

Actually, that may only be during a minority government.

He can't actually call an election before then due to the legislation he passed. And the government can't collapse unless he has a minority. Of course the legislation he passed is meaningless because the governor general is the one that actually does the things in question (this was an issue with the election before this one), so who knows if it'll really be in 4 years.
