I swear to God if one more person tells me to cheer up because it's 'WrestleMania', I'm going to freak.

My best friend was assaulted and raped of her virginity in the middle of school on Monday. Found out she was pregnant Wednesday. The guy (One of her male best friends) apologized yesterday, and said he was on drugs. She's been getting seizures nonstop since Tuesday. He waited outside her house this morning, and looked through her window to talk to her when her sister left, saying he's sorry and wants to come in. When she didn't let him in, he got mad, and started taunting her with things like "You have a nice ass and tits" and "Did you like it?". She texted her sister to call his parents, but they never came. He called his 2 friends, and they broke into her house and raped her all at once. The police got there before they finished, and arrested all three of them, and took my friend to the hospital.

She's going to stay with her grandparents when she leaves the hospital. I just feel like vomiting after all of this.

Two of her best friends tried to kill her on Saturday night/Sunday morning. One of their parents called the police, and they found them two houses down from my friend's, behind a truck in the driveway. The guy had a gun and switchblade. The girl had a crowbar, a hammer, and a gun. Both were on drugs. The Saturday before the rape.

I can't see why people would act as your best friend, and do that. Your BEST FRIENDS. People you trust more than anyone.

Fuck the world. It's all rotten, for real. This is one of the reasons which scares me of having any kids, that the world is already such a fucked up place, it disgusts me, I wouldn't risk bringing life into a sea of shit.

None of that shit has ever happened here, in the history of the town. Fuck, the big to-do every year is our Fall Festival every September. I go for soothing walks for miles all the time, headphones on without a care in the world, and I get home safe every time.

If you ever need a little action, drive down to Fitchburg and visit the gang houses.

Wow... from a neutral standpoint, Mexico & the US, they're not that different. Not at all. Both crimeholes, with limited places where you can actually live, be safe, but mostly crimeholes.

Just found this spreading around on Tumblr and other sites. Figured some of the members would want to warn their female family members and whatnot.

Turns out a few months back a kid at my old high school raped a girl in the 11th grade.

Luckaly, four guys beat him into a vegitative state, and beat the charges.

I don't mean to advocate rapists by any means, but I don't think there is anything respectable about perverse vigilantism. It is a sign of civility to treat criminals humanely. "Eye-for-an-eye" is archaic bullshit.

Should Harry's story be completely true, it is a tragedy that a young woman was raped. And it is also tragic that four neanderthals were not punished for their gang beating.

Yes Eric, but those acts of "civility" against such crimes, have proven futile once and again. Justice is such a subjective matter, that I don't expect you to agree with me, but acts of crime to that extent are never treated as they should, mostly because of people who think criminals of that nature can actually "recover". They DO deserve severe punishment, whether it's physical or psychological.

With all due respect, I wholeheartedly disagree with everything you said... but, for the sake of argument, are a group of kids the ones that should be distributing that punishment? Especially if, as Harry suggests, they caused severe physical harm to the criminal? That's battery and nothing more.

I got some more details on the whole situation from some friends earlier today.

The kid who raped the girl had a history of destructive behavior, not so much disturbed/neglected as cold and calculated. He'd been accused of molesting girls at parties a few times before, but somehow kept managing to get off the hook. He took this girl into a bedroom upstairs at a party, held a knife to her throat, and threatened to kill her if she didn't fuck him. The rape was looked at as an escalation of his abusive behavior, and as soon as word got out the next day, he was as good as dead.

So...yeah.
