Authorities in Pennsylvania arrested a 27-year-old woman who they say hid more than 100 items -- including 54 bags of heroin and loose change -- in her vagina.

Investigators took Karin Mackaliunas into custody last weekend after she was involved in a motor vehicle crash, according to police in Scranton. Officers in nearby Dunmore heard about the accident and, suspecting that she had been involved in the recent burglary of a local inn, asked Scranton police to detain Mackaliunas for questioning.

During a routine search, Scranton police Officer Nancy Baumann found three bags of heroin inside Mackaliunas' coat, records show. Baumann placed Mackaliunas in the back of the patrol car and was taking her to police headquarters when she noticed Mackaliunas fidgeting. The two women then got into a struggle, after which Mackaliunas asked to speak with another officer, whom she told she had "hidden more heroin in her vagina," according to the criminal complaint.

Investigators took Mackaliunas to Community Medical Center for further examination, police said. Doctors there retrieved "up 54 bags of heroin, 31 empty bags used to package heroin, 8.5 prescription pills and $51.22" during a cavity search, according to the criminal complaint.

Mackaliunas was jailed on $25,000 bail on charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of possession of a controlled substance, police said.

She is expected to appear in court for a preliminary hearing sometime today. It is not clear whether she has an attorney.

Prosecutor Ross Taylor called Pittory's defense "creative," and he reminded the jury that semen that matched O'Connell's DNA was found in the girl's bedroom.

BEND -- Police in central Oregon say a 19-year-old man performed a song he introduced as "Sorry for the Mess" at a coffee house "open microphone" event, then fatally stabbed himself in the chest.

Lt. Chris Carney says patrons at Bend's Strictly Organic Coffee rushed to help Kipp Rusty Walker on Thursday night and police and medics arrived quickly. But the young man died at St. Charles Medical Center from multiple stab wounds.

Carney says Walker used a double-edged knife with a 4- to 6-inch-long blade. Police reports indicate the crowd of 10 to 15 was clapping as Walker finished his keyboard performance. When patrons saw him hitting his chest, Carney said they initially thought that was part of his act -- until they saw blood.

Coffee shop co-owner Rhonda Ealy tells KTVZ that "people at first thought it was some sort of theater."

We arrived approximately 7:15 pm. and within 10 minutes of pulling into his driveway, he escorts us to the backyard and points to an area in the sky. Just then he says, “Well, there’s one now.”

I looked and did indeed see a light in the sky. As I’m watching, waiting to point out the FAA lighting, several more appeared.

Our witness suggests that there is a better view in the corn field right down the road.

I never did get to point out the obvious aviation lights. The 3 of us piled into a big, 4 wheel drive truck and headed towards the 100 acres of newly planted corn that has only reached a 4-6 inch height. We were in the middle for a panoramic view.

Once we arrived, I started to set up my equipment, cameras, tri-field meter, magnetometer, flashlight, binoculars, my triple threat digital recorder {that also records lower frequencies and white noise}, laser dot thermometer and several other pieces of equipment.

Again, almost immediately we started to witness these lights, different colors, different locations in the sky, and at one point we could turn in any direction and see these lights.

We then spotted a “set” of lights that appeared to be coming closer. We all grabbed our cameras and soon found that all 4, different makes and models were not working.

I started for my equipment so that I could record readings and also found everything was frozen. Nothing worked!

The craft came closer and we could easily see 3 white lights in a large triangle shape with a red light in the center. A clear outline was visible.

The object was completely silent and never changed direction or speed. It flew directly over our heads. I could not believe my eyes! I honestly never expected to see anything, especially this! I felt overwhelmed and stunned.

We continued to watch until it left our view. There was no hiding the excitement and I quickly turned my attention back to the equipment that failed.

I just knew we had experienced a common occurrence, battery drain but everything was back on-line and working.

I was so puzzled and as I started to take the battery case off of my tri-field to check it, I started to feel this very uneasy feeling. It was quickly growing uncomfortable.

I turned and said, “Does anyone else feel like they are being watched?"

And "I don’t mean from up there . . . but observed from here”.

It wasn’t but 30 seconds later that I felt a complete fear that I have never known capture every cell of my body and it was almost a “blind terror.”

We all seemed to turn to run at the same time.

The witness was ahead of me by about 4 feet and had a large flashlight. As we turned to run, his light swung around his body and in the beam of light we saw something.

He said, “What the F– was that!” and turned the flashlight back to that spot.

There about 6 feet away was a being about 3 ½ ft. tall, just standing. It was one second. One, one thousand, two... !

One little tick on a clock, but we saw it! We were now in full panic run!

We all made it to the truck, got in and left that corn field so fast, we caught air several times on the dirt path to the road. No one spoke.

We reached the driveway and after getting out of the truck; we all just looked at each other for a moment.

No one knew what to say. Someone then spoke and we all just kind of started laughing a bit. I felt completely crazy! It was a just a minute and then there was quiet again.

UFO Alyson started dialing her phone and I looked up at our witness and he again appeared very shaken. I asked him if it was OK, and he replied, “Chase, what was that?”

I just looked at him a moment not quite sure what to say and then he asked, “You saw it right?” I answered yes.

He asked again, “What was that thing Chase?”

Now, I’m gaining some senses back and not wanting to lead my witness, {I preferred HIS description first}, I just said, “It was real.”

He was seriously struggling with his emotions and actually bent down and looked up at me and said, “I’m not crazy right? Thank you for coming . . . you just don’t know . . . you saw it right? What does it want?”

As he regained composure, I realized that “we” were the strangers, the professionals that had no reason to just go along with what he said was happening. HE had an unbiased witness.

Normal, rational thinking was coming back fast and the terror I experienced was completely gone. I’m now thinking that we have to get back to that field as soon as possible. 30 minutes from our now seemingly comic exit, we were back in the field.

Back in Investigator mode, we decided to back the vehicle into a wood line to conceal our presence to try and pick up additional activity. Alyson soon pointed out a yellowish light in the woods that ascended up through the trees and hovered just outside, but above the trees. As it moved, it tended to have a wobble effect in the flight and was soon gone out of sight.

It had been a long night and one that stays with me in many ways. Although there are many other small details and even several more visits that yielded nothing after that evening, the objects that we witnessed and the fear that we felt was not only surreal, but quite frankly unbelievable.

We witnessed what many others had seen in that area, we felt the excitement and anxiousness that I heard many times from my witness during calls.

But that 1 second . . . it never leaves!

It is the one second that completely changed so much for me. One second of time that to this day is haunting! It is very true; you just can’t “UNSEE” things.

My mind always traces back to the two immediate thoughts that struck me, the eyes were nothing what I have heard reported in the past. Not even close.

They were not the large black almond eyes at all. I also was shocked at the size of the legs. They were very thin and twig-like.

I honestly remember thinking a very conscious question to myself–they’re so thin! How do they hold his body? One second of time, seared completely this memory!

I do believe this experience has made me a better Investigator for many reasons. What started as a Category 1 case very quickly turned into a Cat. 3!

What could have easily been dismissed as “lights in the sky” was now a very real case that would need attention for a while. I have told less than a handful of people about this evening. I was asked to present this case at our state conference and did just that but I rarely speak of it now.

I was asked to write this case for our [MUFON] Journal and do sincerely understand the importance in doing so, but for me and to this day, I struggle with the reality of exactly what we saw.

I will absolutely identify it right here, it was real! I am still amazed with the changes that happened because of that 1 second in my life.

I was awakened at 3:15 AM this morning by my German Shepard, who came to get me out of bed.

She would not stop barking at something in the backyard. She wanted me to go to the back door.

As I walked through the kitchen I stopped. I could see a whitish/bluish, bright light coming in the window in the door and the back windows.

I had never seen any lights like this and thought it must be a helicopter looking for someone. I did not hear any sound, though, and thought that was odd.

I am a retired police officer yet at that point, I felt uneasy, so I went back to the bedroom to get my gun, which is always loaded.

I then went back to the kitchen and opened the back door. At that point the light just blinked out. I looked around the yard and looked up where the light was, and saw a very dark, dull, black triangle shape above me.

It had no lights on at that point. The object appeared to measure the width of my yard (50 ft.), it just floated there, unmoving.

I heard a noise towards the back fence and looked in that direction. Then I remembered my flashlight and went to get it from the kitchen drawer, when I heard a sound in the hallway behind me.

It sounded like an animal of some sort (two clicks), so I shined the flashlight there for a few seconds but saw nothing.

I then went back out to the back porch and shined the flashlight in the direction of the noise I heard outside and saw a very strange, short (approximately 4' tall), gray, humanoid-looking creature with big eyes standing there looking at me for just a second or two.

It just disappeared - it did not run.

Then I looked up and the craft was also gone - I did not see it leave. I stood there, frozen in fear.

My dog would not come outside, which is not normal behavior. I am hard to scare after 30 years on the police force.

I have FBI training as well and I thought I'd seen everything, but this was not normal at all!

My first instinct was to call 911 and I went to the phone, but after picking it up, I put it back down.

I know everyone at the police department and even though we have received a few reports of UFOs in the past, I knew they would think I have lost my mind. But I haven't. I know what I saw.

I then locked the entire house up and went to the bedroom, not thinking about the noise I heard in the house before until this morning.

My wife was sound asleep and I did not wake her, and I did not tell her about what happened. I thought I was gone only 10 -15 minutes, but my clock said 4:46 AM.

I don't know what happened to the time!

Now this morning I have red sunburn on my face, neck, and arms like I stayed in the sun way too long. I told my wife that I saw a light outside and went to investigate because she is worried about the sunburn.

I may go the doctor about it if it doesn’t go away, but won't be able to tell him what I saw.

I just had to tell someone that this is real and that I'm a 64-year old believer now.

PALM BAY, Fla. -- A man was arrested Saturday night on suspicion of grabbing girls after knocking them down at a roller skating party in Palm Bay.

Dennis Delisle, 48, was arrested on charges of child abuse and battery after the incident, which occurred at Liberty Park on Carlyle Avenue in Palm Bay, just west of Interstate 95.

Donnie Clausen, a concerned parent, said he confronted Delisle because he was concerned about his child's safety.

"He was pushing down the children, and it seemed like most of them were girls. Maybe (he did it) for an excuse to pick them up, grope them," Clausen said.

After several parents complained to Palm Bay police, officers went to the Skate Jam and arrested Delisle. Skate Jam is a free family event that is held on the third Saturday of every month from September to May.

"(They) put handcuffs on him, and the whole entire crowd, everybody at the Skate Jam, was clapping and applauding the police," Clausen said.

Delisle told Local 6 that he didn't touch any children.

"But the police said you pushed the kids over. Did you push them over?" asked Local 6 reporter Chris Trenkmann.

"No, I did not. I did not push them over," he said.

"Did you touch the kids?" Trenkmann said.

"No," Delisle responded.

"How do you explain several of the children having scrapes and cuts from being pushed down during their roller skating?" Trenkmann said.

"I don't have to because I didn't do it," Delisle said.

"Were you close to them at all while you were skating?" Trenkmann said.

"No," he said.

Delisle said the children ganged up on him and made the accusations because they were jealous of his skating skills.

"Child abuse? I did not abuse any children. I was just merely attending a Skate Jam.

"So you think those parents are wrong?" Trenkmann said.

"(They're) more than wrong. They've destroyed my life," he said.

Delisle remained in the Brevard County Jail Monday morning.

An area congresswoman is looking to ban "designer drugs" such as "bath salts" nationwide.

Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi and Representative Sandy Adams, R-Oviedo, were in Sanford Thursday.

Both spoke about the dangers of "designer drugs" found in some bath salts.

The drugs: MDPV and Mephedrone, are being sold as bath salts commonly called "Ivory Snow", "Bliss" and "Vanilla Sky." They're in the process of being banned in Florida, but Adams is working to make them illegal nationwide.

"We want these taken off the street," said Adams. "We want these out of the hands of our youth, and out of the hands of people who will abuse them, because people are dying. Those who don't die are mutilating themselves, attacking other people, even their loved ones. So it is a bad drug, and it needs to be banned."

Rep. Adams introduced legislation called the "Combating Dangerous Synthetic Stimulants Act of 2011."

If passed, MDPV and Mephedrone would go on a list of controlled substances.
