Well, the fact is that if it takes a massive earthquake and a tsunami to make a nuclear plant potentially dangerous, then I'd say, nuclear seems to be pretty safe.

Like, you zap the spent fuel with something, and then it turns harmless (and stops being hot).

It doesn't seem like that should be so hard to do.

I mean, if these smarty-pantses can get it rolling and cause shit to turn into other shit and nuclear-reacting and all that, why can't they stop it?

It's like inventing a light bulb that you can't ever turn off, and will be on for a million years, and is unbelievably, invincibly dangerous. It's retarded.
