People wonder why there are no prominent Asian actors in Hollywood and why movies like 21 and Avatar: The Last Gay Fucking Bullshit are so whitewashed. It's because when a young Chinese boy expresses an interest in acting, his parents scold him and force him to play an instrument, then scold him again because he chose the harmonica.

She's an idiot that probably doesn't actually know very many Chinese people. She probably lives in a heavily white area, which is why she married a white man instead of her Chinese mother whoring her out to Chinese boys that get good grades and are studying medicine.

There is also no shortage of Asian actors.


What strikes me about her article is that her children sound more like underachievers than overachievers. Basically all she can say about them is that they are good at playing an instrument (and apparently they have a very narrow range in that regard), and get A's in all of their classes. That's not impressive. Getting A's in everything is such a low standard.

During the 2008 Olympics, I was so horrified as the American television announcers gleefully and reverently described the training process of the Chinese girls' gymnastics team: how they were essentially sold off to gymnastics schools before they were old enough to even understand the concept, much less decide whether or not they wanted to involve themselves in it, and how the girls would later tearfully beg their parents to take them back home, since the schools were so strict.

The announcers really said that last part. They said it smiling, like it was a cute thing a child does.

But then, China won the event, so I guess it was totally the right thing to do, huh!!!!

Americans base the Asian academic superiority perception on a biased group: those who have immigrated.
