Now, one could argue that we could have ended the afghani war quickly had we followed what was not merely taliban demands; but basic diplomatic protocol. In other words, we refused to provide evidence because we had none

But instead we chose to invade afghanistan over a period of several years, meaning not only Iraq but Afghanistan was fought over questionable pretenses. Hmm

While that sucks, that doesn't prove anything. Our government was pretty hell bent at kicking someone's ass over 9-11, and a simple arrest wasn't going to do it for W, Cheney, and the gang.

That's the point Hank; it proves nothing. We went to war with Afghanistan under false pretenses, as far as both the american and afghani public are concerned.

I mean that doesn't prove that Al-Qaeda wasn't responsible for 9-11. Still waiting for the evidence that they never claimed to have been involved, even though there has been plenty of presented evidence that the hijackers were members of Al-Qaeda, and it was Al-Qaeda who planned and pulled off the attack.

Today was not the best day of my life.
