The episode with the gender neutral aliens is bullshit. It's a such a cop out that they made his love interest identify more as female instead of just having him fall for a gender neutral person. I seem to remember TNG wussing out with a lot of things like that. Or like when Crusher is dating that alien that swaps bodies, and she's fine with it and just as in love with it no matter what the body is, until it goes into a female body, and then suddenly she doesn't want to be with it anymore.

And it is also bullshit that there were barley any gay characters, it's the 24th century for crying out loud.

Plus, why are there so many white people!? Most human beings on planet Earth are not white, and by only the year 2050 white people are no longer going to be the majority in the USA.

These are problems for all television in general though. Notice how I didn't say "TV"? That is because "TV" is a nickname and we all know that nicknames are for friends, and television is no friend of mine.

I don't like how humans are portrayed as being somewhat pacifist in star trek; because that's not very realistic.

I'm sure the Chinese and Indians killed each other in a war, and that left mostly white people.

Also, Jonathan Frakes wanted for gender neutral alien to be played by a dude, but the producers were too cowardly. I think Rick Berman apologized recently for the lack of gayness in Star Trek, too.

I actually prefer Xanatos to Commander Riker, who is probably my least favourite character on TNG of the ones that count (Ie. No Dr. Pulaski or Wesley Crusher).

Do you guys read TV Tropes? There's a trope called a Xantos Gambit, which is anytime a character makes a plan where even if they lose they will still actually win.
