I don't eat big breakfasts but it's nice knowing I've got the option! In Italy everybody just eats bullshit pastries during one of their four or five daily stops at a cafe. They must think they're so goddamn cool, like they're in a movie or something!!

Most cake is a horrible joke. People think they can use some fucking Duncan Hines box mix and slather it with canned Pillsbury frosting and they've somehow actually made something that tastes good.

The boxed cake mix isn't so bad, actually, especially if you doctor it up a little. But using frosting from a can is reprehensible. You HAVE to make that shit from scratch.

I prefer cream or cream cheese-based frosting vs. butter or shortening-based. It doesn't keep as long, but ideally cake won't be sitting around for more than a couple days tops, so it doesn't matter.
