Just like that!

The next day I think I mixed it with pasta and sauce!

Do people really think 20 - 30 minutes spent cooking is 'quick'?

I read some article about the Urban Peasant, and he made some comment about how he prepares meals in 30 minutes and that's faster that ordering a pizza. And the whole article I was just thinking about the fact that ordering a pizza takes me about 30 seconds, and the rest of that 30 minutes I can be doing something actually useful.

For lunch, I made kung pao chicken.

I first marinated the chicken with soy sauce, a bit of oil, corn starch, and some baking powder. I put in the fridge for an hour or so.

Then I made the sauce which was soy sauce, corn starch, water, sugar, and a bit of vinegar. I put this sauce aside.

Use half a chicken breast, and stir fried it in some oil. Chopped some garlic, ginger, and green chilie. Dropped those in when the chicken was almost cooked, continued stirring, put in some peanuts, more stirring, poured the sauce over, and after some more stirring, it was done. Didn't have green onions to chop over the finished item for garnishing and extra greens, so had it with some rice.

Next time you make Italian sausages, arrange them in a large pan and pour in a can of beer (any kind will do) and a half a cup of water. Simmer on medium-low heat until most of the liquid has evaporated. Then transfer the sausages to a cast iron skillet with a little bit of olive oil and sautee them on medium-high heat until they're brown and crispy on all sides. The beer poaching makes sure they cook all the way through so you don't have to burn them to cook the middle, and it augments the flavor.

While the sausages are being poached, take one medium onion, chopped, and one red pepper, chopped, into a skillet with a tablespoon of olive oil, heat on medium for a couple minutes until they just barely cook down, then cover and simmer on low heat for about 45 minutes to an hour, stirring occasionally. They'll get so caramelized and delicious it's ridiculous.

Serve the sausages with the peppers and onions in a roll. If you're like Madali and need it to be crazy spicy, douse that shit in sriracha.

While everything else is cooking, rub olive oil on the outside of a russet potato, take a piece of tin foil and sprinkle minced garlic into it, wrap the tin foil around the potato, pierce it with a fork, and put it into a pre-heated 400 degree oven for 30 minutes. Then remove the tin foil and place it back into the oven for another 30-40 minutes. You now have a crispy-garlic-skinned baked potato.

The best thing about this meal is that once you start everything cooking you barely have to do anything. You can chill and watch a tv show and then come back and stir the peppers and onions and take the tin foil off the potato after the show has ended without fucking up any of the food. Be advised that poaching the sausages takes fucking forever, but altogether everything should take just over an hour.

I'm going to have to try some of these recipes at some point when I stop being lazy. Also, I suppose I should post my lamb chop recipe.

I usually just blast music in the other room while cooking, if I listen to music I do not mind doing almost anything.

Tonight I am gonna make Taco Pie!

I usually use taco beef but today I am trying stew beef.

I have stew beef, black beans, green pepper, onion, garlic, (random spice kit or if I can not find it just cook stuff with cumin and garlic powder) throw a tortilla in a pie shell drop this stuff in with cheese then top it and put more cheese on top! I have layered it in the past and I might do that the cheese I have is Orange extra sharp cheddar and Monterrey jack. I should have bought some scallions to top it with but I did buy salsa to put on the side.

Mike Dunn, I would like to try your stuff but I can't waste one can of beer like that! In Iran, the cheapest beer I can illegally buy is some shitty Turkish beer and its 7 dollars a can!

I like to stir-fry tofu in olive oil, then when it is browned, pour some low-sodium soy sauce, honey, pinches of fresh black pepper and ground sea salt, and then toss in some greens (spinach, broccoli, and bok choy are the best options), some peas, and let it all simmer. Meanwhile I boil up some rice noodles, then toss them into the pan and stir fry them with the tofu and vegetables, add a little more soy sauce, honey, salt, pepper, and sesame seeds.

Really tasty.

I don't want to waste time discussing this. I've just discovered Calvin eats meat from a can. It's kind of rugged!!!

Western food is undeniably the king god of breakfast. I don't know why every other region is set on eating some shitty soup and rice.

I think I admit that western food is really good on breakfast.

But to be honest, I'm not a breakfast kind of guy. I almost never have breakfast.

I think western breakfasts are a little too rich. Don't get me wrong, they're good as hell!!!! But I think that most cultures like milder things when they wake up rather than a meal consisting entirely of fried and syrupy shit.

Yeah, I guess I've been conditioned the opposite way. Although, I usually go for some semi-sweet thing like cinnamon raisin bagels and juice instead of 10 pounds of bacon and eggs.

If I knew I was waking up to a bowl of rice or some soy bean soup I would probably just go back to bed until it was lunch.

I most of the time just enjoy a bagel with cream cheese and that is enough for me but I go eat at this local place and they have this thing called a hobo for cheap it consists of a cheese tortilla wrap with eggs, bacon, sausage, onions, peppers and real good cheddar cheese.
