I thought the first episode was totally lol. I think it's fair to give it a pass since they basically had to reestablish the entire storyline based off the end of the last movie. Second episode review coming soon!!!

Episode 1 was the most lol even though Fry's behavior directly contradicted his behavior in "The Sting".

I thought the first one was definitely worse. There was too much plot jammed into a half hour episode. Although neither episode really did this, I kind of miss the less crazy episodes of Futurama. Fry becoming a multi-billionaire, everyone getting a tax rebate, or Fry trying to resurrect his dog is far less ridiculous than a satellite that exterminates planets for indecency and everyone dying for like the third time.

Also, didn't Bender already have a doomsday device in his body?

This is the weirdest show.

It gets canceled, comes back years later, canceled again, then moved to entirely new networks and revived again, then takes a few years off, then suddenly has a new season.

And yet the actors, characters, style, writing and everything else remain consistent. There is never the slightest hint of "rebooting."

This show is like a decade old, still running, and I doubt it even has 100 episodes.

NOW TO CHECK WIKIPEDIA TO SEE HOW RIGHT I AM...

It was canceled only once, Chris.

And both episodes are stunning and great and each is about ten times better than all the DVDs combined. It was like being with old friends and actually enjoying it for a change!
