I dunno, Jesse has been very frustrating this season and I feel like this season has been slowly leading up to him being killed. If he doesn't die in the next episode then he will probably die unexpectedly in the middle of next season. Then again at the beginning of this season I thought Hank was gonna end up busting the cartel and killing the Mexican Terminators but I was only half right on that, so maybe the writers are just fucking with me.

Guys, let's talk about Breaking Bad!

I'm upset that the season finale had to end on a cliffhanger. I understand the previous two seasons finales weren't very FINAL but this one was the worst offender by far. This really felt like the penultimate episode in a season.

Of course, everything else was very well done. I believed that Walt was finally going to kill someone that was mostly innocent intentionally. I also thought briefly Walt was going to give up Jesse to save his life.

I really enjoy how Jesse is the more empathetic, moral character of the two, especially because at the beginning of this season Walt desperately tried to convince himself he was fundamentally good whereas Jesse unsuccessfully tried to adopt an immoral persona he believed he had. If Jesse actually kills Gale (which is 50/50 at this point), that would be an interesting turn.

Also, this deals with season 2 but I wanted to watch season 3 before I passed judgment on this plot point. The whole jet crash that made up the season 2 finale was unnecessary. I understood immediately the implications that Walt's choices have consequences on innocent people but it was done without any subtlety. Building up the crash all season was one thing (since it was a weak payoff), but a couple episodes into season 3 they stopped mentioning the crash altogether. The writers could have made their point just by Walt seeing the addicts he's supplying (which, in a season 2, he did although he didn't dwell on it).

Yeah, in that case this episode had a suitable ending. I'd prefer if they let the scene continue a few more seconds after the gunshot as that would leave less ambiguity and let the viewer see more of Jesse's reaction to him murdering Gale.

Vince Gilligan's gonna have to pull a massive shit out of his ass to stop Jesse from being murdered by Mike and/or that asian guy within the first ten minutes of season four. It's incredible that he's still alive.

I just rewatched this whole show for no reason in particular since there won't be new episodes until half a year from now.

I'll post more later, this... this just a bump
