Brickskeller is great if you like a large variety of beer (they have over 700 different beers---they claim---by bottle).

Bourbon if you like bourbon.

The Saloon if you like good German beers and angry German nazi bartenders.

There are plenty more places, the best being in Adams Morgan, Dupont Circle, and H Street.


If you are brave, brave soul, you can try out The Fireplace in Dupont Circle. It's the number one gay black bar in town.
