Do you ever get that nagging fear of ctrl-c'ing something because you think you may have ctrl-x'ed some snipped of text or whatever a while ago and forgotten to paste it, so it's just hanging there and will disappear into oblivion the second you ctrl-c, so you ctrl-v somewhere just in case?

I thought this was about making sure your clipboard doesn't having incriminating info in it when someone is watching you use your computer, so you make sure to press ctrl+c a dozen times before you next use your clipboard.

I hate that I know exactly what Christopher is talking about. I'm about to Ctrl+C and then I'm like, "Wait, didn't I have something important copied?" So I open a notepad and Ctrl+V. It's usually something I copied elsewhere a long time ago.
Due to circumstance I sometimes have something copied to the clipboard for a very long time before I can paste. I call that clipboard constipation! |
