Not watching the Super Bowl isn't really a thing in Canada. But I just realized that it's probably the analog of not caring about Olympic hockey in Canada.

I don't mind people not being into sports, but the worst thing is when me and some other people are having a SPORTS CONVO and somebody who barely follows sports tries to chime in with some generic ass statement like "Lebron is pretty good!" just to be included
I also hate when someone brings up a sports topic and you naturally think they follow it, so you get serious and bring up some recent topic and then realize they really don't know anything. Two weeks ago we were watching the NFC championship game and my brother-in-law said "This is the Superbowl right?" and augh
I'm not trying to sound like some faggot ass elitist, and there's a lot of sports I barely follow or don't follow at all (I only really get into college BB when the tournaments start and I don't give a fuck about baseball at all). But I at least don't PRETEND to know that shit just so I can blend in with the in-crowd |

The worst part is that he actually PLAYED football in high school, but since then he's become utterly consumed with video games. He just finished using my laptop to set up a MW2 clan match with his work buddies
