Some radio DJs were playing his songs and cracking up over them into their microphones when I was 13, and he's had a special place in my heart ever since. His drawings are very impressive! Anyone who hasn't seen the documentary about him should make it a priority to download it.

In college, there was a Pink Floyd tribute day (Skidmore, duh), and one of the bands called itself Led Zeppelin and when they went on stage, they were announced as such and then played Pink Floyd tunes.

People would be walking by (because they were playing on the green), and asking who was playing, and the answer would be, "Led Zeppelin", and there was all sorts of confusion because there would be many people who then thought the band was playing Zeppelin music, when it was exclusively Pink Floyd stuff.

Mostly pre-RIAA lawsuits, until they finally caught wind of student file sharing on campus networks and would sue a 16-year-old for downloading "Oops I Did it Again" for like $200,000.
