Theldorrin, I finally got the flash plugin to work on linux.

I decided to try again today, and the first thing I did was go back to the add/remove programs thingy, closed Firefox, then installed the plug-in. It worked!

I don't know why it couldn't have worked the hundred other times I tried doing that, but whatever I guess.

Wouldn't if be funny if Firefox had actually crashed or something, so was still partially running in the background when you tried all of those installation methods?

God, the first time I tried to access my windows files from ubuntu, it worked just fine.

Then when I tried to go to the folder I had created for the mounted partition, none of the files showed up in the folder. I thought that once you set it up it was there for good, but apparently not.

All further attempts to access the windows files have failed.

After messing around with that stuff in ubuntu I tried to re-start and it just sat on a blank black screen where you could type stuff, like DOS or something, but nothing happened and I could feel my soul and life essence being quickly and violently sucked out of me, but then I did a hard restart and it was normal again.

You probably need to have it do the mount at startup if you consistently want access to it.

When I was a kid my mom used to clip my fingernails really deeply and painfully, so after I became old enough to deal with them myself I just started biting them, and I still do that to this day. I don't like to just leave the clippings around for people to step on, so I usually thrown them behind my couch or my bed, or I throw them in the garbage if I'm near a trash barrel.

My toes are mostly ok, but my big toes are fucked. I had a serious ingrown toenail on my left big toe. It would grow into the skin on the sides of it, so I would have to clip it diagonally as far down as I could and then rip the bloody nail out of my sideskin. Eventually I went to a podiatrist and he cut the sides of my toenail out and then injected acid into my toe so the sides of my toenail would never grow back. Now I have a really skinny toenail on my left big toe. I have to clip diagonally on my right big toe too, but it's not bad enough that I need to get another operation. Also, my pinky toenails are slowly being swallowed up by my toe. The nail is never more than a few millimeters long.

I bite my fingernails.

I had ingrown toenail problems with my big toes for years, and it got to the point where I had surgery to chemically destroy the sides of my big toenails to get them to grow correctly.

There was one time where I had to perform surgery on them in China with a Swiss Army Knife, a lighter, and cheap Chinese alcohol. In college, there was a day my freshman year where my big right toe was killing me because the ingrown nail hadn't broken through yet, and I managed to drop a pumpkin, a chair, and a closet door on it successively without pause.

I cut some of my fingernails too deep and now the white parts encroach too far/in odd shapes onto the CLEAR/PINK PART. I don't think they can be fixed, either.

It was a bloody mess. I had to soak my foot in warm water and epsom salt every day for weeks after that.

I use my fingernails to cut my fingernails, it involves leverage and pressure and a little bit of pain. I have literally never bit my nails, one of my greatest fears is that they will slip and I will slice my gums open.

I always end up cutting my toe nails too short, so when they start to grow back they dig into the skin and I have to cut them more often.

Someday I'll just inject acid into the sides of my toes. Be done with the whole mess.

Oh, I guess I should mention that I got my toe shot with a laser, but it was just for wart removal, so it really isn't any cooler than any faggot in the world with laser eye surgery (or a former sub-nail wart problem), so it's not like I'm in very good company.

In fact, my brother had a couple of toes shot with more lasers, I think.

The only problem I've ever had with my nails is that sometimes I let them go a couple days longer than I should before trimming them. They're clear and perfect otherwise.

I also clip them over the toilet, usually right after showering.

Here's some shit about how I clip my fingernails

1. I've got a plastic bag from a pizza delivery my first year at university, I clip my fingernails into it. I've never emptied it because
a. It's pointless
b. I've always thought "collecting a huge quantity of one's own nail clippings" is pretty funny as something that doesn't definitively indicate that a person is insane but if you found out about it you would have trouble understanding and not know what to think. I don't display it prominently and the amount of clippings is deceptively low, I basically don't even think about it when I'm not clipping my finger nails.
2. I realized today that there is nothing in particular to recommend this bag as a nail receptacle. It doesn't stay open better than any other bag would.
3. Also today, I took my bag in the bathroom to clip my fingernails while I pooped (I only finished one hand and I think I was done pooping, like, right away) and I saw that there was a LIVE SPIDER on the bag, AHHHHH!!!
