Jesus a 10k mac blows me out of the water.
I know the creative is kind of useless but I enjoy the products usually and I never plan on mixing music but geez if I were to I wouldnt want to be fucked. Even though most or even all new mobos have 7.1 built in. I got an X-fi in my PC right now.
Yeah I was mostly out of date on processors and video cards. I will never buy a PNY card again because it crapped out on me and even if ASUS has dropped a little in quality I still trust them.
It is just there are so many fucking processors out now it just isnt "should I be cheap and go with P3 or blow my wad on a P4 or hey AMD's are nice and better!"
I started games with Duke Nukem and some other random B drive programs. I think the first disc game I owned was Duke Nukem and Red Alert.
Anyways Chris kids in this day and age are smarter and have grown with technology where as you had to acustom your old ass with computers vs. a typewriter so what you say is completely false. I mean they dont have to fuck with settings as much but there is always new tweaks and shit. Such as kids designing whole levels in games and other such stuff. I mean do you really think before you type? |

Kids these days can do all sorts of magic when it comes to CREATING things on the computer, but they are idiots when it comes to troubleshooting and fixing problems, or actually understanding anything about hardware (because they've never had to).
They've never been fucking butt raped for weeks by the unbelievabe difficulty and slowness of doing anything on a computer in 1992, never mind attempting to get even the simplest piece of hardware to work, with no precious Internet to turn to to bail their sissy asses out. You just had to deal with the grinding agony of not being able to do (whatever) until you figured it out. |

Thank fucking God for USB and Windows XP.
Those two things saved the world from the nightmare that it was mired within. |

| I can see where you are going with USB but still with more technology comes more problems and the trouble shooting has changed |

| in the end though I would say more people now a day still know about trouble shooting just different stuff is applicable and that doesnt make it more or less frustrating. Just because you personally know about some of these things doesnt mean a majority of people in your day and age did and just because the handful of people you know dont know how to trouble shoot doesnt mean everyone of the new generation doesnt. |

There is also a lot of variables
people back in the day didnt need computers as much so a handful knowing how to troubleshoot would have to be equal to probably 100 times as many people in this day and age. Creating still has its problems not everything is some bum fuck going into photo shop and making a picture and with Linux and stuff so many people tinker with that and drivers also |

Dont leave me now!
I know your argument of USB and Google and that makes a world of difference but still with the amount of people growing up in the freeware and linux world that has to set the number of troubleshooters through the roof |
