If the first episode doesn't end with Raditz and Goku dying, it's not edited well enough.

What do you mean "choppy?" "Better quality?"

That shit's in YouTube HD!

Does your majesty need Blu Ray quality?

When they remade Captain Tsubasa, the animation looked much better, but this looks like animation from the 80s.

I'd hardly call this a remake.

It's pretty ironic that they're now digitally covering up Goku's baby penis on Japanese TV too.

God.

I thought this show was going to be enhanced visually? I'm definitely not okay with them redoing the voices and editing down like it should have been 20 years ago. They should have just completely re-drawn the thing.

That would have been very risky, to spend all that money on a full-fledged new production of a story that everyone already watched 20 years ago and just recently bought on DVD. I don't think Toei could justify that.

The anime holds up just fine! It didn't need to be remade.

Chopping out all that filler though, this has been my dream since the US version started.

And it HAS been enhanced visually. Certain shots have been redrawn (so far it's just ki blasts), everything has been reframed for 16x9, the video has been remastered, etc. They also did stuff like color Piccolo's blood purple in order to make it consistent with Namek blood for the rest of the series.

I'm looking forward to seeing Vegeta with correct colors in the pre-landing-on-Earth episodes!

Though I guess, with the filler cut out, it's just going to be the one scene where they first decide to go to Earth. NO CRICKET PLANET EPISODE.

The cricket planet episode was great! They should only cut out the shitty filler! It's weird seeing the brightly colored opening, the actual show comes off as bland in comparison.

If they were to start picking and choosing the "good" filler, that would be one hell of a slippery slope.
