The Blu Ray should include a special subtitle track where, during moments such as the Blanka transformation, or the random explosions, or any Zangief line, a blinking subtitle appears that says, "THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE CAMPY AND SHITTY, YOU FUCKING IDIOTS. YES, WHAT JUST JUST SAID/SHOWN WAS RETARDED. WE KNOW. THAT'S THE POINT."

doesn't the enjoyment of these movies come from the fact that they were made seriously? That the people actually thought they were making something good? whenever people try to make something intentionally bad it comes out gay and you get shit like snakes on a plane

The interesting thing about this movie is that it wavers between intentionally bad, unintentionally bad, intentional comedy, unintentional comedy, horrible dialogue, fucking awesome, snappy, bad ass dialogue, cluelessly hammy performances (JCVD), knowingly hammy performances (Raul Julia), etc.

You can't really pigeonhole it. Half the time you're laughing at it, the other half you're laughing with it (OR ARE YOU???)

There's no question that there's a level of knowingness involved. It's just hard to tell where the lines are drawn.

The point is, its awesome.
