FTU needs a thread where the music of the Doors can be appreciated. I just finished watching the movie, so I thought "Hey, why not?".


Riders of the Storm and Strange Days have to be my favorite songs.

Jim Morrison was a fat art school geek until he lost weight by taking drugs instead of eating and was magically transformed into a rock star.

The movie doesn't really acknowlege that part.

Also, he drew upon a diverse array of influences to attain his romantic/gothic mystique.

The Changeling is an excellent song too.

I've been listening to The Doors' Best of album for a few hours now. I'm considering putting An American Prayer in my MP3 player and going to bed listening to it.

I'm pretty sure I'll be talking about some other band a week or less from now, but right now I wanna listen to them as much as I can.

Also, Oliver Stone is pretty much torn to shreds by a bunch of people in the movie's mandatory "making of" docummentary. His rebuttal was simply that he's portraying Jim Morrison as he saw him.

Then again, it seems his biggest critic is this fat old "witch" or whatever who put a course on the movie so it would never be made.

On closer inspection, they are actually kissing.

This is awkward because it gives the impression that I examined the poster on my wall. I didn't; I don't have that poster. It was sarcasm.
