We could also do random banners, but generally for random banners you wouldn't have to do anything more than upload them to a location.

I opened the third page of this thread (Gonna excite you threads per page snobs!) and immediately jumped to other pages to see Seru banners, but to no avail.

Currently static PPs are handled by storing the URL of the PP for each post in the phpbb_posts table of the database, and then referencing that rather than the current PP when viewing the topic.
