I still don't understand why fans of Naruto feel they HAVE to compare Naruto to DBZ. That's the same as if I started comparing Vagabond and Berserk, even though the only similarity they share is their target audience.

I don't know anything about Naruto other than the fact that it's interminable, but I think their lengths and plot devices are similar enough to warrant comparison.

They are only compared because of their relative western popularity. Nearly all shonen that came after DBZ is similar to DBZ because it was super fucking popular.
