So, I finally saw this movie and I have to agree with Peter's assessment. It was awesome, but pretty much everything except for Leonidas and the rest of the Spartan warriors kicking ass was basically hollow, which lessened the impact of the hardcore ass kicking.

I do give the gratuitous sex scene between Leonidas and the queen an A+, though.

I agree with MADali, this movie was crap. Why did the spartans have a giant hole in the middle of their city?! Just to kick people into? And the whole queen sub-plot was beyond cliche. I wanted that bitch to die so bad. She was all like 'oh think of the children!' in front of the council, bitch you THROW BABIES OFF OF CLIFFS. Your culture does NOT give a shit about kids. And if you care so much about freedom take a fucking spear and go fight your own damn self.

How the movie could have been better:

Queen gets raped to death by killer horse
Sex scene with hunchback and Xerxe's whores
For all the digital blood to actually show up on the blades and people
How bout some body hair? Body hair is manly.
Better quality ninjas
Actual explosives, not fireworks
No leather speedos

I liked the movie. Anyone expecting a great oscar type movie is a fucking moron. Anyone not likeing the movie with the reasons given is a fucking moron. Its a popcorn movie not a masterpice. Also whats wrong the queen trying to have more troops sent to save her husband. Also Xerxes was persian the gayest people on the planet.
