Fuck this.

This isn't the fucking game as it was. More than just the graphics are changed. I can't put my finger on it, but it has to do with speed.

All I know is that if I put it on medium difficulty, and I'm having to continue on fucking T. Hawk and Zangief, then that means they've niggerfied the game/difficulty somehow.

IT TOOK ME A GODDAMN HOUR JUST TO GET THROUGH IT. WITH RYU!

I SHOULD be able to walk through it effortlessly.

Though I guess maybe they'd fixed that by the time of Super, I don't really remember.

2D fighter is probably the worst genre of video game that still exists today.

The money-grubbing of the sports genre is noteworthy, but nothing beats the sheer lack of creativity, playability and innovation of 2D fighters.

For me, the playing of video games is purely a nostalgic activity, akin to flipping through a yearbook or photo album.

So innovation can kiss my ass!

What I wanted from this was just a few simple things, none of which quite came together.

I think they have toned the difficulty up since the Anniversary Edition of SF II.

Honestly, what pisses me off more than all these remakes and re-releases is that 1) People actually want and deman them and 2) Tournament players will start talking about how many frames each attack takes in comparison to another like it's chess or Go.

OK, I figured out that they did some sort of gay rebalancing, but you can play the game as it originally was set if you choose "classic" or whatever.

And I like the option to go back to the original sprites, but what nobody mentioned is that it only changes the CHARACTER sprites, not the backgrounds.

Which is kind of stupid looking.
