I was never able to get into Gears of War 1. It's really weird because I could recognize that it was a quality game and that a lot of work went into it and everything but I just felt really bored playing it despite fucking chainsaw guns. I don't think I ever got past the part where you have to escape from a bunch of bat creatures in an armored truck.

After the first couple hours the game becomes extremely repetitive and boring. I'm assuming that's how the sequel will play out as well.
