I'm just trying to express some optimism.
America will LOOK GOOD in this election. It things keep up this way, we're going to elect the guy the rest of the world wants us to elect. He can improve our relationship with the Middle East if for no other reason than his name is BARACK OBAMA.
And McCain is finally starting to do a good job of losing gracefully, as not to tarnish this with the hate speech people have spewed at his rallies.
There's no reason not to be optimistic right now. Barack Obama is going to make America cool again, despite how shitty politics are. All a president really boils down to is a symbol, but he's going to make a great symbol. |

You know, I have tons of friends that are really awesome and anti-establishment and totally hold on to the ideals of anarchism and PUNK RAWK and totally dOOd and love to look down on me for caring about this election and say that John McCain and Barack Obama are both the devil and we can't trust anybody and it's all doom and gloom until we abolish the government.
But nobody's given me any real, actual reason why a Barack Obama presidency will not totally kick ass. |

| The Democrats almost certainly won't lose the majority in 2010. They might not keep/get the Senate supermajority, but the momentum won't shift back that hard, that fast. |
