I don't know if it's just a coincidence but yesterday's episode of X-Files was the one where that guy from Monk had the dark matter shadow that destroyed people (but not other kinds of matter).

I'm watching and reviewing every goddamn X-Files episode and now I'm on season 9, and season 9 is painfully bad.

I was really into the first few seasons of The X-Files back when the show was ending, and I'd like to rewatch those and finally continue, but I know that the ending won't be at all satisfying so I can never bring myself to bother.

The foreshadowing is really crazy. The only explanation might be that one of the people involved was talking to his friend, who might have mentioned to one of the writers, and the writers didn't really think it was actually real and stole it.

Or the CIA was told to think of a new idea, and one of the agents was watching this show and was like, great idea! And when he brought to the next board meeting, just pretended he thought of it himself to get a raise. Which he did.
