George Carlin was very good because unlike Lewis Black, he has opinions on everything and just not politics.

Stefan, I also believe that there needs to be more outrage amongst the population. That's why I said pseudo-anger, because taking all the legitimate complaints a person can have of the United States government and whittling it into a comedy act lets people listen, laugh, and leave the show thinking that, hey, all you really have to do is make a joke about Bush, because no harm will actually be done.
And the same principle applies to his bits on the planet, which makes a joke of environmentalism and therefore absolves his fans from actually caring about it. |
