Man, Metal Gear Online games have so much potential but it's basically like selling a dumbed-down Call of Duty to the Japanese.

Basically, if you reach a high enough level, you should be a crazy fucking soldier like Vamp. Everyone could start out as a goon soldier but if they proceeded far enough in a skill branch they'd become the Pain or something!

That is a good idea. Maybe the top 1% of players could have superpowers. Hopefully teams would be appropriately balanced during normal play. Also, videos of entire teams of super soldiers facing off, though mundane to non-players, would be huge hits with "epic, just epic" repeated many times in the comments.

Well they plan to make Cyborg Raiden and a lot of classic characters usable eventually (god willing they add Fatman). So it will probably depend on the map and the game settings.

It sounds to me like an online MGS game would be really amazing if it was just a mentally-retarded revolver ocelot shooting wildly with machine gun arms over and over again while gibbering out ridiculous taunts and that was the entire game

SO I finally finished this game and it really is amazing.

Basically everything on Shadow Moses was King God, and crawling down the microwave tunnel was King God God of all time.

There is a lot of retarded shit, like, everything that every character who isn't Snake does, especially Naomi, but whatever, it's awesome.

I like how Raiden became the most over-the-top, unkillable badass of all time and it was still the bare minimum necessary to make up for how huge of a fag he was in MGS2.

Seru, you are correct.

Everything Ocelot did was pretty awesome but his motivations still kind of escape me. I have to admit my brain had basically shut down by the time Big Boss was explaining all that shit.

Naomi's actions in this game are factually inexplicable, but that's women for you I guess!
