The reason I don't chat is because it's an enormous waste of time, even moreso than the board itself.

With the board I can stop in every few hours, read everything that's new, make a few posts, then go off and do other things, come back a few hours later, check what's new, etc.

With the chat, you're just THERE for as long as the chat is going, having to more or less keep your eyes on it at all times. I guess you could say "just multitask," but then people start getting annoying about you idling, then you have to scroll back up and read what you missed, by then it's too late to reply to anything, etc.

I don't know how the rest of you seem to have 2-3 hours a day to burn on that shit, but I don't.
