I read an opinion that Saudi grunt-work is all done by foreigners because they feel they're above it. |

The UAE locals are very few, and since the country is rich, they get insane amount of money, so most jobs are done by foreigners. Most locals work in government companies, and those that work in private companies get high salary, due to them only accepting high paying jobs and the government enforces emiratisations. This means most big companies have to have certain percentage of their employees be local citizens.
All this means that you wont find locals doing most jobs, no local laborers, no local waiters, no locals working in the gas station, no local supermarket clerks, and so on |

My local friends go to free school and free college, and after finish their education, they get jobs that are like 16,000 dhs (4,300 usd per month...this is their first job). So they have no loans and no tax, and a salary like that.
if thats not enough, the government usually gives them free land. |
