Everyone in the US media is a faggot, and so is Engel.
Benazir Bhutto was a corrupt politician, but the west pretends she was a beautiful and brave champion of democracy and freedom.
Sometimes I think US media is one of the worst in the world. It is crazy how easily they control people's minds. In other countries, where media is state-controlled, at least the people know that they have to take everything with a grain of salt, but the illusion of media freedom in US means people take whatever the media gives them. They think, hey, we can make fun of George Bush, so we must have a completely free media! Not like those Chinese or Russians! Yay freedom |

| I agree with Madali I hate the news here. They also seem to enjoy reporting articles that will strike fear and try to keep people viewing them. |

| Indeed, Bhutto was incredibly corrupt and was nothing more than a puppet for the US. Her husband was nicknamed "Mr. Ten Percent" if that says anything... |

It's funny how ignorant westerners think that they can deal with Islamic terrorists without dealing with the problem of Islam. _________________ @}-,-'- *~*~* Member of the FTU Elegant Tea Party Society *~*~* -'-,-{@ |

I have always pointed out that virtually every newspaper in the US is owned b y one of 3 (probably subsidized) companies, that TV and radio arent much better, and that calling the US media "corporate" actually gives it too much credit sine that would imply more like 10 or 20 businesses controlling it
Theldorrin, religion is a fact of life. Deal with it |

MADali, as a westerner, yes I have that attitude that a corrupt democracy is better than a wonderful dictatorship
Yeah, China or even communist nations in general now are probably better governed then they would be under democracy, but even in the long run thats probably not true. Not to mention all the genocides.
Or look at the american south. These ignorant authoritarian assholes roughly qualify as civilized because the US govt came down and said and demanded they let people have "rights".
Or look at arabs; probably the worst nations in the industrialized world, and thats because they arent democracies
Being deposed by the military is not a sign a nation is going places. Every nation has done it, but it has seldom been good for democracy (though some say Oliver Cromwell was) |

Religion isn't a fact of life. It's slowly dying. I just wish it would hurry along!
Certain beliefs are poisonous to society, and pretending that they're not is putting your head in the sand. _________________ @}-,-'- *~*~* Member of the FTU Elegant Tea Party Society *~*~* -'-,-{@ |

Christianity isnt nearly as awful a religion as you make it out to be
Even in the dark ages, the power of the church and priest ridden lands could almost apply to any other religion. Well, only Islam really. But still! And the Byzantines were christian, I think were just as good as anyone else IMO, their corruption being more cultural (faggot greeks) than anything else
This is no longer true, but in colonial days I would actually rate americas greater religiosity over europe a sign and cause of its progress in the antebellum period
(note in the antebellum period the south was NOT the most religious part of the country. ITs just after the civil war it decline slower than everywhere else) |

No, Christianity is awful and should also be destroyed.
The only way that these things are remotely tolerable is if people ignore the precepts of the religion. _________________ @}-,-'- *~*~* Member of the FTU Elegant Tea Party Society *~*~* -'-,-{@ |

THeldorrin, the northeast was founded by religious exiles
The south was founded by criminals, slaves and servants
Why was the north better? DOnt say climate; the south was a worse disease climate but a better agriculture |
