A giant polar bear knocks another giant polar bear's jaw out of his face, and then Gandalf reenacts the Bridge of Khazad-dûm scene on ice, but doesn't die because I guess this is a kids movie. |

I'm not going to see this movie because they removed all of the stuff about the Catholic church being a villain. _________________ @}-,-'- *~*~* Member of the FTU Elegant Tea Party Society *~*~* -'-,-{@ |

They didn't remove all of it, but I was under the impression that the heavy atheist theme didn't kick in until the 3rd book anyway. |

I thought this movie was fucking stupid and I kept laughing whenever the polar bear talked. |

If the NUMBERS are any indication, you won't have to worry about not-watching sequels! |

YES Ask me about nation, culture, religion, gender, sexuality, and identity in general being anachronisms from a more vulgar and primitive past. Joined: 05 Sep 2007 Posts: 6090 (Mon Dec 10, 2007 12:51 am) Reply

Fairly good adaptation, but they ended at such a terrible part of the book. I realize that it was dragging on a bit long, but two more chapters and they'd have a much more satisfying cliffhanger rather than everyone holding hands and smiling in the damn balloon!
Sam Elliott is very strong. |
