Oh my god you idiot, just because he'll make money and be needed doesn't mean he'll feel good and the work won't be stressful. He'll probably be stuck at the factor all day every day, and he gets home (where he lives by himself because he's so busy) and he drinks until he falls asleep, which is when he has nightmares about boxes.

I'm not sure I quite understand the cardboard box factory metaphor. Is it because I've beceome dull and predictable like a cardboard box factory or is it because my quick and pithy quips responses are easily mass produced and simply constructed like cardboard boxes in a factory? I'm hoping for scenario two.
