Dpayne: You are shocked to see that the woman they are throwing on the ground is Carmella.
Aden: I was ABOUT to ask!
Aden: If I see attack Carmella, I'm going to use Thaumaturgy to try to stop it.
 Aden: see HER
Dpayne: You could almost swear the woman shoots a half second glance at you.
Dpayne: The stress of the situation is overwhelming. roll Wits + Occult difficulty 7.
 Aden: /me rolls 6 10-sided dice: 10 5 6 1 5 10
Dpayne: You notice a tomboyish Asian woman stand in the middle of the room. Additionally you create a fire, but it is about the size of a torch flame and fails to garner anyone's attention other then some curious guards.
 Aden: Wait.
Aden: A Thaumaturgy roll is supposed to be Willpower.
Dpayne: Sorry, you may roll again if you like.
Aden: Doesn't Concentration Merit keep the difficulty at six?
Dpayne: And I forgot you had that, so go ahead and reroll.
Aden: And, I'M SORRY TO KEEP BITCHING ALSO, but the number of successes in Lure of Flames only affects its accuracy, not the size of the fire.
 Dpayne: On a concentration check?
 Aden: ?
Aden: Anyway, if Ping just got in the center of the room, I'll hold off for now, and keep my blood point and Willpower.
Aden: But if it looks like Carmella is going to be killed, I'll fire off immediately.
Dpayne: Well I would think that with a significant distraction your ability to create a large fire be more difficult, but I guess I misunderstood the rules when I read them.
Dpayne: Anyway, sorry, too late for that, go ahead and roll.
Dpayne: Your actions were simultaneous so...
 Aden: I see.
Aden: System: The number of successes determines how accurately the thaumaturge places the flame in his desired location. One
Aden: success is all that is necessary to conjure a flame in one's hand, while five successes place a flame anywhere in the Kindred's
 Aden: ine of sight.
 Aden: OK.
Aden: With an automatic from Willpower.
 Aden: /me rolls 10 10-sided dice: 10 7 7 2 8 8 3 8 4 3
 Aden: What a waste ...
Dpayne: You create a massive and accurate explosion of flamed timed to be behind the asian woman drawing attention to her. You also manage to do this without drawing any attention to yourself.
Dpayne: Also do you wish to respond to the foppish long hair guy sitting next to you as he spoke to you.
Aden: No, I was too distracted.
Dpayne: Okay I wasn't actually sure you noticed, and I really should've pmed it to you as well.
Dpayne: By the way do you wish to maintain the flame?
Aden: Once the flame has been released, however, it
Aden: burns normally and the character has no control over it.
Dpayne: Well stone doesn't burn so...
Dpayne: So the explosion was right!
Aden: Well, I meant to hit someone flammable, like people.
Aden: Anything that would keep burning.
 Aden: someTHING flammable.
Dpayne: Okay you hit some of the finery.
Aden: Are there guards still at the exit?
Aden: That would catch me if I tried to leave?
 Dpayne: Yes.
Aden: So there's basically NOTHING I CAN DO, huh?
Dpayne: Also, keep in mind the guy whose head was cut off by shadows.
 Dpayne: I didn't say that.
Aden: Is there a ROLL I could make to think of a way out of this?
 Dpayne: Roll, Intellgence+Law difficulty 6.
 Aden: /me rolls 3 10-sided dice: 10 5 7
Dpayne: You suddenly recall from a previous counsel meeting you once attended, that when a kindred is about to be put to death, another may offer to prove their innocence over a 3 day recess.
 Aden: OH.
Dpayne: If they fail they are also executed. They must however, step in before the executioner reaches the victim.
 Dpayne: Hence the slow executioner.
Dpayne: No one, however has ever stepped in and succeeded.
 Dpayne: Over.
Aden: All right, in that case, can we say that my CAMPFIRE was just a reaction to STRESS?
Dpayne: No one knows you did it, so...
 Aden: All right ...
Dpayne: I don't know what you're worried about, You aren't the only one in the room with lure of flames.
Aden: Oh, actually I just meant roleplaying-wise
Dpayne: And yeah, stress certainly factored in.
Dpayne: Oh I assumed that already. It was the result of stress and desperation.
Dpayne: You turned to the one thing you knew which was fire.
Aden: Since I feel dumb for trying to force my way out of here when there's another way.
 Aden: All right, good!
Aden: How does my weakness manifest?
Aden: Do other Tremere have to look for it?
Aden: Or is it very easy to see?
Dpayne: They can easily see it.
Dpayne: Not that it matters in this situation since acting against you would mean death.
Dpayne: But it is something to keep in mind.
 Aden: OK.
Aden: It really was a brilliant idea to put Carmella into my story.
 Aden: I love it.
