I bet it's just THE EPISODE, and that's it.
Which is another reason why they're probably not worth buying.

One of the most bizarre experiences of my life was watching DBZ on the International channel. It was Goku having a heart attack while Android 19 sat on his chest.
It was like a totally different show!
Those episodes felt to me like a grim no man's land that the dub would never reach. It was bizarre to watch it happen. |

When I first watched DBZ in jap I thought it was a pile of shit. (it was the My father is vegeta!)
anyway once I got used to goku's voice my opinion i was jap all the way, but I still thin the ocean dub used great voices (particulalry piccolo)
In fact, I will redub a demo episdoe where FURUKAWA'S voice is altered to sound like piccolo, and see how that sounds |
