That's one thing I like about these DVDs.

For the first time in history, DBZ episodes are actually priced at what they're worth.

2 years ago you would pay $25 for about two hours worth of "fuck, I guess we have to figure out some way to kill time for eight weeks while the manga moves ahead... fuck, I guess... uh... let's have Bulma drop the Dragon Balls and chase them for 3 episodes. We can have like, a giant crab or something."

Now for $50 you get 600 minutes of that, plus 300 minutes of actual storytelling.

I've been interested for a long time in the concept of a FAN EDIT of the series.

Just cut out everything that isn't in the manga, plus *2 minute shot of camera slowly panning across mountains*, and you might actually come away with something presentable to normal humans.
