Really, the only complaint about Skies of Arcadia is the high number of random battles, especially when you are flying around discovering things. Other than that, its pretty great.

I wouldn't even mind it if the battles weren't these slow-paced pieces of shit. It would probably be my favorite RPG ever if it had Grandia II's battle system.

It really is the one game that would have massively benefited if they included a moogle charm.

They probably shouldn't have included the extra battles in the Gamecube version either.

You can gain 10 levels in one fight!

And the sky battles are pointless once you get the unstoppable warship with the Demonic Penetrating-Light Death-Cannon.

Then they play like painfully long cut scenes.
