This was extremely obvious, but America, considering how much they love entertainment, has to always have elections that are supposidly neck to neck, edge of your seat, excitement. Everything in USA has to play out like skits from WWE or reality shows.

This wasn't obvious at all, and Romney was actually beating Obama when the first results were coming in, until Obama started grabbing all the toss-up states.

The popular vote was 50% to 48%. You can't say what ended up being only a 2% difference was "extremely obvious."

Presidential elections are almost always close, not because they're trying to be entertaining but because the system is carefully set up to produce two candidates that can each get exactly half of the country to vote for them.

I mean, it's all bullshit of course, but not bullshit in the way that you're thinking.

A lot of times they're ridiculously close, like in 2000, but other times there's no suspense at all and they don't even bother trying, like when Bill Clinton stomped the shit out of that shitty old man in 1996!
