I like getting to work and checking FTU in the morning. Or when I have nothing to do with my day, logging on FTU to check whats new. But usually I log on, and its, wow, a new post in Computer Games where the Payne brothers discuss combos like a bunch of fags.

And its not like you people have nothing to say. Whenever you go to the chat, there is always a discussion going on, sometimes several at the same time.

Chris is right. The chat is bad. Chat killed the FTU star.

Yes.

HTML support of all kinds is long overdue.

But I guess the admins have to keep that turned off, for safety, because the 20 or so people who post here - nearly all of whom have known each other for over a decade - trying to execute malicious code on each other, when perhaps 2 or 3 posters are even capable (let alone willing) of implementing such code, is a huge danger that we all need to be protected from, and it's not at all worth the risk just to be able to embed things and also the literally hundreds of other post formatting and customization options that enabling HTML would offer.

Listen guys, I'm sorry you've all become decrepit dinosaurs still struggling with the realization that the quality posters have graduated to a more high paced and exciting method of personal interactivity. Super Chat Bros. is not going anywhere so suck it up and move on. We happen to enjoy SHOOTING THE BREEZE with each other pretty much every single day for hours on end. The same can't be said for you board beasts of burden. So if you're missing out on juicy gossip, tough shit! It wasn't meant for you to hear in the first place. Your existence has become entirely ancillary of your own accord. This was just a natural evolution.

And this might be a fairly obvious point to make but I'll make it anyway. The vast majority of us no longer share common interests. At all. We stopped being a community quite some time ago. These miserable attempts at trying to recapture the GLORY of the past is pointless. The board is exactly as active as it needs to be. Just enough to keep Brian Lanners from pulling the plug. Sporadic bursts of activity may stoke some nostalgic remembrances but it's not something sustainable. And it never will be again. But never fret! I'll always be around to discuss the newest video games and hottest anime with Seika.

I don't know, Seru, I think we still share a lot of the same interests. We just don't have hours to waste posting on message boards since we're almost all out of college, have jobs, lives (some have families), and so it goes. I'm happy with the pace of the board since I would never be able to keep track of anything if there was too much activity.

You can always do what I do, Chris, and just visit the chat every now and then when you have a little time to kill.
