I think I want to buy a laserjet printer for home use. What's the state of the art? Is inket ink still expensive and for suckers? Are there any manufacturers that particularly suck? My priorities are:
- Not being annoying
- Marginal cost per sheet
- Initial cost
- Text quality
- Speed and noise
- Image quality |

I got a Kodak ESP 7 after looking into this a little and I can't remember what I read but I remember being sure a Kodak ESP was the printer I wanted. It works, and when I'm not using the scanner (most of the time) it is a great shelf, negating the desk space it takes up. The scanner is OK. |

I have a printer/scanner whose black ink ran out well over half a decade ago, and I'm pretty sure it was the cartridge that came with it when I bought it a few years before.
If I need to print something (which is like once every three months, and usually a coupon of some kind), I change black to blue or red (if it's a text document) or adjust the colors such that all the black is removed (if it's image-based).
I will do absolutely whatever it takes to defy the daylight robbery that is printer ink pricing.
May I be god damned if I ever get to a point in my life where I buy printer ink regularly. |

Why not post the entire thing? I'm sure the creator would appreciate the hits. |

Yeah, he could really use some traffic.
He only gets 18 billion shares within hours of posting anything new, all of it certainly on the up and up, since it's not like he has a history in SEO and traffic-funneling.
fucking pandering, fucking book-deal getting, $500,000 a year making cocksucker, FUCK YOU INMAN, I FUCKING HATE YOU
Anyway, I'm going to his book signing next Saturday in San Francisco. I'm excited! |

$25 for printer ink is pretty cheap. I think I used to pay $50+.
Anyway, I recently bought a colour laser for $300 or so. It does scanning and faxing, too. I was actually more concerned with the paper feeding, because that is the most annoying part of printers for me. Inkjets have shitty paper feeders and jam constantly. It was at the point that I had to feed in sheets individually, and I don't have the patience for that. _________________ @}-,-'- *~*~* Member of the FTU Elegant Tea Party Society *~*~* -'-,-{@ |

Also, I think the case with printers, like the case for all consumer electronics/computer gear is that it's mostly by individual model, and not really by brand anymore.
So read the reviews for the particular model you're going to pick, rather than looking for an HP or whatever. _________________ @}-,-'- *~*~* Member of the FTU Elegant Tea Party Society *~*~* -'-,-{@ |

He is my hero.
He is so fucking talented!
Not necessarily at anything that he literally does in terms of humor or art or whatever, but in HOW he executes and wields what he does for absolute maximum power.
I have never seen a website with share statistics like his. Not even close. The vast majority of "Share" buttons are pathetic pieces of shit with a big fat 0 or 1 or 2 next to them. Not this guy's!
How does he DO IT!!!! |

Probably because his whole site is designed around those share buttons, Chris.
It's not necessarily a good thing. _________________ @}-,-'- *~*~* Member of the FTU Elegant Tea Party Society *~*~* -'-,-{@ |
