I finally got my DDO beta key. I'll give my thoughts on the game later on today.

I'm in the character creation screen now. There are two races only available if you pay: Drows and Warforged. As far as classes, they're all free except Monk and Favored Soul.

It allows you to customize your stats however you see fit. Though character creation doesn't compare with something like City of Heroes but it's decent enough. They give you a few store points for the beta but I haven't bothered using them yet.

They split classes into categories: Melee, Spell, and Specialist, which I ,being an amateur at best who only has minimum knowledge of D&D, don't agree with. Melee branches off to Fighter, Paladin, Barbarian, and Monk. Spell has Sorcerer, Cleric, Wizard, and Favored Soul. Specialist has Rogue, Ranger, and Bard.

I was hoping to recreate Rock Light but I guess I'll settle for a shitty ranger for now.

I hope it's fun, I'll let you know by Sunday. The free version is still in beta, which became available about a month ago. The free version only allows you to level up to 20.
