What I dont understand about these movies is that it makes fun of comedies. It would be like a movie made 10 years ago that mocked "Dumb and Dumber" and have a fake Jim Carry act stupid.

I can't even think of any recent disaster movies that they could be spoofing. Plus, everything I've seen in the previews aren't disaster movies.

Why can't we have spoofs like Top Secret! again?

My newspaper had a review that said one of the movie it parodied was Iron Man.

They should just call it Movie.

I don't know that I've ever interacted with a single person who goes to these movies, or in fact does NOT think that they are horrendous pieces of shit that they could not be paid to sit through.

I'm sure this one guy's ticket that he used to write a negative review will in itself pay for another movie, in the same way that the cops who download child porn to build a case against someone they're going to arrest are singlehandedly responsible for the existence of child porn.

This guy apparently runs an entire site about Disaster Movie. He's one of those people that says "I know it'll be bad, but I'm super excited to see how bad it is." He left a fucking blog entry when he was ABOUT TO GO SEE IT, GUYS!!

No one who reads that site is going to think, oh wow, I was really looking forward to this movie but this guy says it sucks so forget it. His entire (presumably minuscule) audience is just like him: the, eh, I got nothing else to do this weekend crowd.

And the revenue fits just as well in the pockets of the studio executives who continue to approve these movies, whether the ticket buyers liked it or not.

I really have to explain this to you? You're acting like in 2004 we shouldn't have counted the Stop Bush votes because they didn't actually represent a sincere love for Kerry.
